Possibly the saddest movie I've ever seen. In my opinion it was the best in terms of effects, cars, and action sequences.

I saw it tonight, totally hated that all my favourite cars got destroyed as usual, and that the room got so dusty right at the end with Dom's monologue going on.

I still have no fucking idea how the chassis of a Dodge Charger can withstand that sort of impact.

Sources the chassis from a builder in Hazzard county.* The daily drive there requires jumping the river ever since the bridge went out.
In Bullit , seems more like they just got in, drove the crap out of it, got another if it dented. Or not. Get those magic hupcaps and a musical horn and you're set.
*also assumes Vin Diesel's character is Riddick. Makes both series more enjoyable trying to figure out the backstory.

Me: Maserati? Maserati Ghibli? Oh sweet. Wait, what are they...NoNoNoNoNoNoNoNoNo
What I found funny was Paul Walker driving a WRX STI? hatch and everyone else had lifted muscle cars with off road tires and bullbars.
And can anyone identify what Statham was driving in that scene? Was it a modded Bowler Wildcat or something else entirely? It had a lot of facets, but didn't seem to be a military vehicle.

Funny enough my first instint was a Bowler as well. I found a video on autoblog though that showed that it was a custom job.
